2013 Legislative Session
For the 2013 Connecticut Legislative Session, CVA will be working to pass exciting new laws for animals!
- HB 5844 Anti-tethering bill: Would prohibit chaining a dog outside 1) at night, and 2) restrict chaining whenever the temperature drops below 32 F, or rises above 90 F. (See our fact sheet on dog tethering)
- HB 5836 APCP bill: Would expand benefits to low-income pet owners as part of the Department of Agriculture's Animal Population Control Program.
